PIP and Mobility

Hi everyone - has anyone been awarded the enhanced element of the Mobility within PIP? - It would be interesting to know what criteria they looked at to award it - my sister has the smaller element but my neice has the enhanced - I was not awarded any mobility element but am appealing - I do know that the Autistic Society is trying to get the Government to change the wording to allow people with Aspergers to access the enhanced element - how that will go is anyones guess - thanks Sylvia

  • My son was awarded enhanced living PIP but standard Mobility, as he can walk the minimum criteria and does go on a  short familiar route occasionally on his own, he can use public transport on familiar routes on his own but dislikes it for normal asd reasons, as I am sole carer with no car myself this makes life extremely difficult, I accompany him on unfamiliar routes.  Seems a bit of a lottery.
