Things looked forward to in a better weather week?

As the northern hemisphere steps forward towards Springtime; when your area gets the forecast of an improved weather week: to which activities are you looking forward?

Time spent outdoors?  Pastimes?  Exploring places?  Sports?  Increased travel options?  Doing as little as possible in the sunshine?  Chores you couldn't face tackling over Winter?  Meeting a friend?  A favourite walk?  Photography of fauna, flora and vistas?  Clubs, Groups, Events and Outings?  Your children being able to play more outside?  Drying laundry on an outside washing line?  Going for a picnic?  Sitting outside a coffee shop?  Listening to the natural sounds of your environment?  Watching a favourite plant unfurl its leaves?

  • Nice thread.

    Thank you.

I like all the seasons but this winter has been very wet so I'm mainly looking forward to, hopefully, drier and sunnier days.

Visiting the seafront and gardens and gardening.

It's lovely seeing the 1st buds and all the flowers poking their little heads up above the earth, and leaves on decidious trees.

My favourite is the birds starting to sing their mating songs.

Blackbirds especially, but we also have robins who are already singing their hearts out.

    Sunflower

  • Thank you, that has reminded me that it is time to put up the bird nesting box on a suitable tree in the garden!

    I hope you get inhabitants.

I've put a new bee nesting box up as the last one didn't work (a very large one) but I've realised, after reading about positioning them, that I'd put it in entirely the wrong place.
