What drinks do you drink?

My drink diet is so unhealthy.

I don't drink alcohol– I don’t like the taste –but regular drinks for me are coca cola like between 6-8 cans a day and that's causing my digestion to go through regular hell. I do drink milkshakes sometimes and squash but I'm not a huge fan of the taste, so back to the cola I go.

I've tried tea and coffee as well but I don't like either. I used to drink fruit shoots a lot but that was when I was little. Since I was in my teens I have drank mostly coca cola, occasionally I'll have a hot chocolate but not often.

My drinking has always been a bit like this. Flip side of the coin is I don't drink enough of anything and end up dehydrated, normally during summer though.

What about you guys?

What do you like drinking?

  • When I was a teenager I used to drink an entire two litre bottle of 17p Tesco Everyday Value diet cola in a single sitting - awful stuff. Recently I have started cutting down on caffeine to manage my anxiety levels - I only have a cup of green tea every morning, occasionally black tea instead, and anything more than that seems to make me really jittery and agitated. I'm not sure if I would survive two litres of cola if I had it now.

As for alcohol: I used to avoid it completely as I didn't like the idea of being intoxicated and losing my sense of composure, but I have since learnt to enjoy the sensation in moderation. However, no matter how much or little I seem to drink, I always feel really rotten and lethargic the day after. I usually drink cider or wine, but definitely not beer. I'm usually content with having one or two drinks in an evening, and most of the time I only drink with other people, so I'll go without drinking most days.

I've recently developed a taste for sparkling water since I stopped drinking cola. I don't like drinking tap water all that much so it's a good way to stay hydrated, plus the fact that it's sparkling makes it feel more justified to buy a bottle of than still water.
