Social Communication Disorder???

Please can someone tell me if Social Communication Disorder is a phrase for Autism or is it different - I am so confused.

  • My son has just been diagnosed and they just call it ASD here now.  Previously it would have been aspergers or high functioning autism!  We are in Buckinghamshire.

  • Social Communication Disorder is when you fit the social and communication part of the new Autism Spectrum Disorder classification, but are missing the obsessive interest/repetitive motion part. Someone fitting the full Asperger criteria would get an ASD diagnosis.

  • ,, it may be the new american classication for aspergers which american insurance companies are looking for, so they do not have to pay out health insurance,  aspergers is still autism,, but on mild spectrum, high cognitive, low emotional, in lieu of full autism which is low cognitive, low emotional which is more retarded.

    The reason of calling aspergers, Social Communication Disorder because that is one of the three area which is difficult for people with aspergers.. doctors in america, because of the number of autism cases 1 in 55 etc,,, are looking to breakdown the condition into more sub-brackets long-term, Social communication disorder is there first attempt at this stealth agenda, there could be as much as 12 different autism classifications to come. For what it is worth, some doctors are saying that the system is social bias and political in lieu of medical reason, basically they create NEW CONDITIONS EVERY YEAR to suit the drug industry so that pills can be licenced to treat the said condition,, billions profit worldwide. One doctor,, said a mind condition has never actually proven to exist 100% in reality, so all conditions maybe just be a label from mens mind.

    So as things stand just now, Social communication disorder does not exist as a classification YET !...
