leaving secondary school

hi! i recently finished secondary school (as in i literally took my last gcse yesterday lol) and now i'm worried on what my next steps are. i wasn't able to be physically in school, i stopped going physically in year 7 and didn't have any sort of education for 3/4 years up until september 2021 where i took an online course to work towards sitting my english language and maths gcses. now once you finish secondary school, you of course have to be in education for another 2 years until you're 18 which is where i'm now stuck. i'd love to be able to go to college like everyone else my age but it was bad enough in a smaller environment, let alone an even bigger one. it also doesn't help that i have no idea what i want to do for a career so i am veryyy lost rn! if anyone has any experience on what they did / are planning to do once they finish(ed) school, it'd be rly helpful! thank u :D

  • I didn't mind school, to be honest, but I was exploited by my classmates; then taken advantage of.

On reflection; I can see why school causes resentment. Being in a Secondary Modern created an entire 'Us and Them' scenario.

I always feel that those who make no effort are rewarded in our society.
