Motivation to lose weight

I need to, as a bottom line, get below 21 Stone - I'm currently 23 Stone 2 1/2 Pounds - in order to receive Life Cover from the Law Society's Financial Advisor. It is the only bone of contention for him.

I know what I need to do; it's just developing a plan to occupy myself better, to avoid eating out and grazing.

  • Outdoors exercise, even just walking, is good because you get endorphins that boost your mood and that makes you less likely to want to snack. You can listen to music at the same time to make it more interesting.

  • Walking is great because you don’t have to fit at all to start with brisk walking. Whereas jogging is a bit of a nightmare if you’re currently not very fit.

    I think the best thing to stop snacking is being busy and doing things that you’re interested in - it stops you thinking about food so much. And there are lots of healthy things you can snack on too - like dried apricots, nuts, berries. Healthy foods can be so expensive though. They should be subsidised in my opinion.
