Bouncing

Evening all,

Having just recieved a diagnosis for my son (aged 6) im new to the site and not sure where to post this question, so apologies if its in the wrong place! Smile

i was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to stop my son bouncing on his bed so much.

When he was younger he bounced through the bottom of his toddler bed, so i bought him a new single bed, which is has bounced through again for the 3rd time. i have replaced the slats 3 times, and he has broken another 4 this past week.

i cannot  afford to keep replacing the slats and was wondering if anyone had any tips.

thank you in advance. xxx

  • Hi - are there particular circumstances which stimulate your son to bounce, such as being excited by something on tv for example, or being upset?  My son bounced for yrs. I found that beds with slats didn't hold up well + that a good divan bed was better, esp if you put something between the mattress + the base to cushion the force of the bounce.  Also with my son he tended to bounce in 1 place - the right hand side at the end so that wd go 1st.
