Hi I’m new to relationships and I currently have a girlfriend. 

I was wanting to know other peoples views to the following questions.

  1. Is it ok to hug a female friend and work colleague?
  2. is it ok to have dinner at their house?
  3. Is it ok to bring a small gift to the dinner?

  • I'd say 'yes' to all three provided it's what she wants, otherwise no. The only way to know is ask.

    Is the work colleague different from the girl-friend btw? If so, check with your girl-friend. It wouldn't bother me any for my husband to eat with, or give a 'thank you' gift of wine or flowers to,  or hug a colleague, but some folks get a bit jealous for reasons best known to themselves. Your girl-friend will be the best authority on that. I'd ask her advice.
