any one knows which therapies work for under 5 year old
OK. Interesting. Didn't know that. I was told "autism, mild to moderate, not affecting language or cognition." Then the usual multipage report which I know others are familiar with.
Some people are told a "level" these days. I had no such thing though, my NHS diagnosis is just Autistic Spectrum Condition.
As I understand it, 'High Functioning' generally means 'not affecting language or cognition'; in 2013, the NHS decided that the term 'Aspergers' had no clinical significance and that it was just autism, that didn't affect these two areas. I stand to be corrected if I've got that wrong and anyone knows better.
Everything could be worse, not really a reason to not try to improve things.
Could be worse dude could be referred to ASD and just be classified unintelligent. Either way there both catch 22's
"High functioning" is a really rubbish term to use for anyone with autism. Autism is just different for different people. When people view me as "high functioning" what they mean is that I'm intelligent and blend in with NT people. They don't see my internal struggles and how difficult it is to sustain being seen as normal.

Hi there. I would recommend getting the input of your child's occupational therapist and see what they say.
