What is your opinion on this?

My son is 3 and is currently seeing a paeditrician and he impressed to her as Aspergers.

Since reading up more on ASD, I am pretty sure I am and also my father (who is a textbook ADHD.)

I spoke to my GP and asked to be referred somewhere for diagnosis, I was asked what traits I have etc. He then agreed to send me somewhere local.. I have heard people don't get taken too seriously if they are not sent to a proper place. I did suggest a referral to Cambridge (which is only 20 miles from me) however he said "no, let's try this place that I suggested"  It's been about 3 months and I have still had no appointment through or any contact..

I'm a bit unsure and skeptical as to why he wouldn't want to send me to Cambridge and would rather go to this local place that as far as I am aware does not diagnose people for ASD or if he is planning on referring me to anywhere at all..

Any help / opinions would be appreciated!

  • 1.) Go back to your docs, and ask him to write to them again and also agree with him that if you do not get an appointment from them within the next month, agree that he will refer your son up to Cambridge or somewhere else

2.) Phone them directly and ask them what the hold up is.

3.) If you have the support of the Paeditrician, ask them to speak or write to the professionals on your behalf, as it was there observation. YOU HAVE BEEN LEFT CONFUSED AND CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE., and professionals will not listen to you anyway, it needs to one of there own kind due to the closed system cueing constructs of the specialist controlling spheres which society has made, where everybody does something, but no one does anything really, but no one know what, where or how. And we wonder why the country has grounded two a halt, the industrial revolution has been too successful,we are now just knowledge boxes without measureable output, the classical waste model. Sorry for the semantics, but the lack of direction and efficiency annoys me.

    Good luck in sinking Britain.
