Toilet issues help!

Hi my ten year old son is in the process of an Aspergers diagnosis. He won't use the toilets at school despite the SENCO giving him a pass to a private toilet, a photo on reception so he isn't questioned and today even escorting him there! Any one else had same issues and any advice gratefully received

  • the disabled toilet at his school is private, unlike the communal ones in school.my boy is 13 now and in big school and using general toilets at school.he uses home toilet at home no problem, only he tends to leave it to last minute as he rather play on pooter rather  than waste time going toilet. You need to work out what works for you and what does not.Do some detective work to find out what your son not use school toilets. It might be something simple like the smells or noise or even flickering lights.Your school should have facilities for disabled people, maybe your son would prefer to use that.
