  • Hi. Portage is a support service, def. not Social Worker, they will be a great support, as they can visit you at home and give advice directly to you.  We have had a real battle in getting our diagnosis, my daughter was diagnosed at 14, even though for years we asked for diagnosis.  Also if you contact your LA (Local Authority) they should be able to put you in touch with support services, or send you any SEN leaflets or newsletters they produce.

    Good luck!
