League of Friends hospital shop

Brill. :) Sounds really good. I like till work so hoping to get more shop work but in the future if i can get a job i want to work with the elderly but when i went somewhere to volunteer they wouldn't let me when they knew about my problems. :( Oh well.

I volunteer with the local police.  It's great!  Being good at something gives you loads of confidence.  Totally recommend it to anyone thinking of volunteering...find something you're interested in and jump in. :-)

Yeah i agree completely. :) I wear a uniform and identity nhs badge so feel really good haha. I like that. And yeah i can't do paid work yet but i like the satisfying feel as you so rightly said. I'm hoping to do some more charity shop work at other places too. If they ever reply to me!

I volunteer at Age UK, where I am on the till, and I love it. It gives you a real sense of satisfaction and as though you are contributing in some way. You feel needed. I like till work because it is repetitive but at the same time you get some variety as people buy different things. I also like seeing the regulars, who seem to enter the shop at the same time every week. I do a lot of voluntary work because I can't do paid work but I need to be active. Voluntary till work is the most satisfying for me because I have the most responsibility and it feels like proper work.
