PIP - Any stories/info to help??

Hello,

I have recently been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and was told I was entitled to the dreaded PIP.

I applied, went to the assessment and got no points and went to appeal and got no points. I have been told that

it is a very arbitrary process some get it, some don't in effect it is like a lottery!

The problem being that because of all the cuts there are practically no specialised disability advisors out there

to help you filling in the form.

I need some help with this as my finances are at an all time low and I can't go on like this.

Would anybody out there who was successful in their claim be willing to share some of the information which they

disclosed on their form as I am sure that we all have similar symptoms/disabilities but the wording is very important

in the claim.

As part of the Autism family I feel it is important to stick together in light of all the cuts which we all know the reason

for!!

We can be strong together!!!

Much love,

xxx

  • I also would like to apply but I am still waiting for the diagnosis.

I wish I could help you but I am also still trying to understand how the system works.

I have read a lot of threads about this and most of the people are also struggling with this and are unhappy with the process and the experience.
