Looking for some advice - does anyone know how to apply for Adult Autism support from a local authority (UK) and what sort of support can a local authority provide?

Also, has anyone who's asked for and received support from a local authority found it helpful?

My local authority - Powys - unfortunately does not currently provide any adult specific autism support.

  • Contact the Welfare rights on the National Autistic society to claim anything in the UK it has to be done via the DWP (Department for work and Pensions). 

    Or type in your Region/Post code on the find services near you box on the national Autistic society website. That should give you services local to you who can help.
