And yet another elephant in the room...

This 'elephant in the room' phrase gets used a lot in business. My brain always took me to a real elephant first, so here's an old favourite of mine, Babar.

Maybe you have a favourite elephant or other (cartoon or real) animal you'd like to have 'in the room'? Do share if so...

  • did a safari in Tsavo East

I went to Kenya too on a safari. It was wonderful, seeing the animals at the watering hole late at night and in the early hours, also driving close by a herd of elephants. I will treasure these memories forever.

  • It’s an incredible place indeed and I would love to go back too.

Like you, we flew into Nairobi, but then travelled to Aberdare National Park to begin our safari, continuing on to Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. At the end of the safari we flew from Nairobi to Mombasa for a few days.

The feeling of being among the elephants, lions, zebras and the rest of the animal population was indescribable. It felt as if I had always been there and I felt ‘at home’. The people were really lovely too.

This is a young adventurous bull that ‘charged’ our vehicle, drawing up short at the last minute. The ranger wasn’t worried but we were a bit concerned he mightn’t stop.

  • Nice, yes let's see it! I might take a picture of our elephant too, but the light in here isn't very good.

We visited Kenya about twenty years ago and saw so many elephants! Where did you go? We flew into Nairobi and then travelled to Mombasa where we stayed and did a safari in Tsavo East. It's an incredible place and I would love to go back.

  • Please do. More elephants welcome. Plenty of space in this room.
