What a wonderful discovery.

I’ve discovered that a newly unearthed Iron Age wall in Paris may have been built by the Gallic Parisii tribe. Subject to further scientific analysis, it may be evidence of the location of the city’s original settlement.

I know it’s a joke and it did make me smile, but I can’t help but comment on it like you’re being serious (I blame Autism).

Realistically nuclear war would be horrifying, especially due to the likelihood of mutually assured destruction, but I‘m convinced humanity would survive it. Yeah, survivors would be slim and their lives would be horrid. It would obviously usher in a new dark age. Nuclear war isn’t necessarily as big of a threat to human kind’s existence as AI.

There are a few issues with fearing Trump with the nuclear football: 1. He is so narcissistic that he would never put himself in a position of personal danger, nor would he risk the massive amount of assets that he has in real estate in major cities. It’s not that he cares about American lives, it’s all himself. 2. Here in America, the president actually has to go through a bunch of steps before he gets access to nuclear weapons. Granted, it’s terrifying how close he is (I”m pretty sure he can launch missiles without congress or senate approval), but there are a few other people that need to be on board. 3. Despite what he said at the UN summit yesterday, Trump’s advisors are well aware that we are in a precarious position munitions-wise. Even if we nuke Iran and neither China or Russia immediately deploy their nuclear arsenal, it still would almost guarantee a war with China and/or Russia that we cannot defend ourselves against well enough.

Granted, Trump has surrounded himself with idiots and nut jobs that worship him as a deity, so there is potential that they may be easily swayed. Trump also very much wants his name in history books (as evidenced by his obsession with renaming everything), and that would be a sure way to accomplish that. I do feel a little at ease though knowing that not every single Republican is insane (yet), so there being others involved in that decision lowers the possibility.

Now North Korea, Pakistan, and India are the ones I think we should probably worry about. North Korea has less to lose than the other nuclear powers. Also, while the current North Korean administration wants to preserve themselves, who’s to say the next leader won’t be nihilistic? Pakistan and India hate each other so much that they’ve become accustomed to the saber rattling of nuke threats. All that situation will take is one extremist to come to power on either side and decide it’s actually worth dying for to eliminate the other. I think we’re safe for now, but that’s still a shaky situation.

It’s actually been a while since I’ve gone down the true crime rabbit hole. The last thing I remember watching was more aligned with “true horror,” since it was the Fascinating Horror YouTube series. I absolutely ADORE learning about tragedies that happened in history so that I can respect life a little more.

Before that I vaguely remember following a couple whose names I forget who focused primarily on crimes against children. (It’s probably best if I didn’t share their names anyways, their content often bordered on being NSFL) Being that my daughters were toddlers at the time, I was very concerned about the idea of someone hurting them and I felt pretty crummy as a father. Those videos both reassured me that the chances of them being mistreated are fairly low and that I am far from being the worst father ever lol.

An alternative is to tell Trump that the nuclear button is actually the kill fake news button.

What type of true crime? I like to watch mysterious disappearances on YouTube on occasion. 

One of my nerd friends introduced me to it. She warned me about the captain's hair, which seems to be a series joke. Apparently there was Star Trek Pike doll produced which was one third hair.

I love it! I'm into seaon 4 and it just gets better.  It intended to give the same feel as TOS, but updated. I think it's much better - and I was a besoted teenager during TOS's first run in the UK

I'm late to the party but I discovered autistic Barbie today. Love her apart from the dress, I could never wear that, lol. I'd need some nice comfy joggers and  a long sleeved long line top.

EDIT: Just went down to the bin and found a large black feather by the stairs. I've heard of white feathers being good so I automaticaly assumed that black was bad. Wrong! I googled it and it's very positive!

I discovered Star Trek Strange New Worlds yesterday. Been meaning to watch it for ages but finally got round to it yesterday. I did not like it at first, didn't have that cosy Voyager or TNG feel, but stuck with it. I'm really glad I did as I loved it in the end. It had a really positive message and I will watch some more. 

Food wise I have discovered Huel Complete Nutrition Bar, Choc Chip Cookie Dough flavour. They are new, have lots of protein in, and as a type 2 diabetic, I can actually eat them! Warning though, they are delicious and easy to eat!
