This may be a bit whimsical, but does anyone think that the classic image of a witch living alone with a "familiar" such as a cat and a special knowledge of potions and natural healing agents might reflect someone who could have been on the autistic spectrum?

  • Oh yes I can see this connection. Their deep knowledge of natural remedies, certain plants and fungus in the forests and how to use them would have been seen as very mysterious and not acceptable. I think of myself as a little witchy, I’m afraid I  would either have been locked up in the asylum or drowned for sure.
