I didn't want to barge into a thread. However, I did want to say that I was very moved by haciaelvacio's description of burnout as "You are like a ghost operating in another dimension".
In severe burnouts I can recall my mind moving to somewhere like an empty office block, no sounds, smells, little colour, airless. Some sort of mental ground zero.
