I can't do this any more and I don't know what to do.
Thanks. Went through the gp a while ago and they said there was nothing they could offer me. Tried 111 once and they laughed at me when I explained I thought I might be autistic.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling so alone and unclear about what to do. As other community members have said, you do belong here. Many people here have been through exactly what you have expressed and we would like you to know you are a valued member of this community.
The National Autistic Society does not currently operate a crisis or emergency service. If you’re finding it hard to cope or have thoughts of harming yourself, please seek help. That lack of belonging feeling is there for a lot of us. It's isolating and disheartening. It's hard to navigate through life when you lack that common ground with people and they don't understand what you go through.
Folk here understand your struggles and will do what they can to help, so hopefully you can reach out if you need to. It is easier said than done.
Sometimes just being seen and heard can help.
Ellie we are here if you want to talk on here.
A lot of people come here, struggling massively and feeling like that.
You are not alone here, it can help to know you are part of this community and we value any input.
Someone created a really good page to gather helplines together for people when they need more direct action, do take a look if you are in that situation.
RE: Helplines
People here get it. I hope you can join in with some chats if you need that connection.
Take care, I'm a 1984 child too!
