Shifting between sad and crying vs happy and ok

Hi, so I think I'm going through a burnout, it built up through my whole life. I'm unemployed now. Throughout day I cry uncontrollably and later that same day I'm ok and everything doesn't seem so bad. Then I hear a sad song and cry again. Then I do some task like sell something online and I feel good again. Does this have something to do with autism???

    1. Honestly I think it’s a very mixed bag with stuff like this because there’s so many random things like this that I’ve learned are caused by autism, especially stuff to do with emotions. But you’re not alone and I also experience this frequently and haven’t found any proper answers. From what I’ve seen and experienced this could be caused by hypersensitivity, you’ve said that you’re going through a burnout so it’s normal for you to naturally be more emotional right now. But I know it’s so mentally draining and exhausting to experience this, the sudden shift of emotions can really mess with your head and send you into a spiral. If you have any form of support irl I’d really recommend reaching out and getting it off your chest. I’d also recommend doing some research into this and seeing if there’s anything out there that is similar to your experience (I personally haven’t seen this mentioned much tho and everyone experiences things differently so I think that would be a good option) But yeah, you’re not alone on this and I’m wishing you all the best
