I wish I knew how to stop scripting ahead of time but it seems so intrinsic now that I do it without any consciousness. I found myself waiting for my bus into work this morning rehearsing ordering my coffee in my head a good 20 minutes before I'd even arrive at the shop... -_- When I don't have the chance to rehearse I tend to produce a bit of a word salad or I say very little.
I can reply from a personal perspective SilmarilCritter
I get around it by being more "in the moment" as able.
That's tricky when what comes out is sometimes a bit messed up by bags of experience of being socially rejected when being so.
So, to lean into Tolkein a little, The Silmarils' brilliance was crafted - so is stopping being scripted and "living in the moment".
They were made from good stuff :-) and impossible to destroy.
