I can relate to the sense of shame when I can't get back to performing in the way I once did. Since my last burnout I am having to make a lot of changes to just function. I am prioritizing what needs doing or helps me to relax, so I have a little more energy. I also decide what I can manage and what I can say no to. It is definitely still work in progress though.

Thanks for sharing on the shame thing Homebird - maybe the message we're both getting is that just for now performing the same way as before isn't a good idea and finding a new way of being better is the way to progress. The prioritizing needs thing, especially being able to relax and manage energy better, are excellent ways to navigate finding oneself, I agree.
