Diagnosis struggle

Hi. 52 yo male, still struggling to process my diagnosis in Jan 26. I admit I'm a bit odd, quirky, eccentric etc... but I find it quite hard to tell people 'I have autism', which doesn't really help with my anxiety (currently on 100mg sertraline).

Cheers, Dan.

  • Welcome Dan, I also found it very hard to process, I was diagnosed at 42 I think, not good with remembering numbers! I also found it hard telling people, particularly when you don't know the reaction you'll get. I do find the more I talk about it and the more I start to be myself...in my 40s, bit late! But, the more you do that, the easier it becomes and you actually start to enjoy yourself rather than tell yourself you have always been 'wrong'
