At 40 i started year with referaal for autism assesment now i wait

Hi

I am on a waiting list for autism referal will be 3 years plus befkre i will be seen, but i am now feeling crushed with the wait . I only realised the issues i had my whole life with issues with socilizing sound light and anxity being called very shy and quiet child but very bright  coupled with always feeling like i was in fight or flight with the world could be autism. Now that i have responsibiltys of a adult all these things i just asummed was just life and everyone delt with it i cant deal with aswell anymore and anxity can explode over small things ro other people that go wrong but to me consume every second.

I just need to know am i autistic or just going mad

  • I have been on the list nearly 4 years and managed to get an appointment due to a cancellation a little earlier, I was told I was near the top of the list and that the appointment would have been in August.

    It is sometimes worth asking about being able to be considered for any appointments where someone has cancelled
