take you time - expect 12+ months - I think at 18 months I have a fair good understanding of myself

Best advice - connect with ND community on forums or online meetings - I personally dont do in-person meetings - the ones I have attended have not been in good settings for me.  I prefer online calls - and have made ND friends !

I do very limited disclosure - I would say focus on yourself - rather than explaining Autism to others

Welcome. I received my diagnosis last Monday so am new too. Whole life makes sense now right - although still feeling stuck but it's positive moving forward. I have Hope.

Sorting through all the feelings after a diagnosis can feel like trying to untangle headphone cords in the dark, but it does settle with time. I found it helpful to follow the stuff that actually made me feel calmer, like small hobbies or chatting in threads that felt comfy. The After Diagnosis pages are decent for picking one or two ideas instead of taking in everything at once.

Hi there Ash, and welcome to the online community!  I know there will be a lot of people here who share your feelings post-diagnosis, so I'm sure you'll find a lot of support and advice here.
