Hi all. I'm a lonely sad mum who has anxiety depression and agoraphobia. My son is 21 recently diagnosed with autism level 2 non verbal. He's starting with specialist autism services next week. . I'm going to be even more down once he starts. I know it's great for him but I'm just not getting any help or support. Facebook friends have been cut because these people are not friends, they just contact you when they want something. . Sorry I just need to have a moan sometimes. X

The NAS does run a Parent to Parent Emotional Support Helpline that offers emotional support from trained volunteers. It may be worth taking a look at seeing if it might be helpful for you.

It might help to reach out to your GP to discuss how you are feeling as they may be able to offer some more support for you,

I've been under my GP for many years but unfortunately no funding to help agoraphobia. I asked for a be friender but funding has ended. Not any meeting places near me either.
