Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the use of AI tools within the Online Community in the recent post ‘AI replies’. We recognise that this is an important and evolving issue and we are currently reviewing relevant guidance. An appropriate rule will be added in due course.
In the meantime, we ask that AI tools are not used to simulate personal experience, generate advice or respond to people in distress. Posts and replies should reflect an individual’s own lived experience and views. Moderators may remove content that breaches this expectation or our existing rules.
AI tools may be used when drafting a post, for example to help with structure or wording. Where this is the case, users should be transparent and say that AI has been used in this way.
When signposting, please continue to direct users to National Autistic Society webpages as a first point of reference. We have developed a robust process for researching, drafting, publishing and updating our digital advice and guidance content.
If anyone has concerns about posts or responses that may have been generated using AI, please continue to use the 'Flag to Moderator' button so that these can be reviewed.
Thanks for your co-operation.
