There are things as a autistic that really get on my wick when they really should not.

And this site has one. 

WTH. does it pop up a notification to tell me I have posted something? I KNOW that I am posting this. I KNOW which forum I sm posting in. I do not need to be told I have just posted a comment. I know I posted a comment. 

A notification that someone has replied to anything I write is useful.Telling me I have posted something is a huge irritation.

  • You can turn unwanted notifications off.

    The Online Community Instructions state how to select notifications so you can unselect them. 

    To change notification settings: 

    1. Click your profile icon → Settings. 
    2. Go to the Notifications section. 
    3. Tick the boxes to choose how you want to be notified (email, live alerts, or both). (Right hand of screen)

    I'm a little confused, when this was first posted, bunny added instructions to do this, and I replied with thanks, but both posts went missing?

    Please accept my apologies  . I had a sudden loss of confidence in my reply when looking at the screenshot that I was adding, via an edit, so I deleted it pending checking my answer. 

    I'd meant to come back to it, but I forgot (due to certain other forum issues!). Looking at it again now, I think it was actually OK after all. My brain was too tired to recognise why there were two shaded-out, "live alert" options. But, of course, they're only shaded out because I'd already disabled those types of notifications overall.

    I'm really sorry.
