There are things as a autistic that really get on my wick when they really should not.

And this site has one. 

WTH. does it pop up a notification to tell me I have posted something? I KNOW that I am posting this. I KNOW which forum I sm posting in. I do not need to be told I have just posted a comment. I know I posted a comment. 

A notification that someone has replied to anything I write is useful.Telling me I have posted something is a huge irritation.

  • I completely get you, Professor. I have browser notifications hard-blocked by default for all sites in my browser of choice. I do have email notifications turned on for this forum, as I find that easier to manage.

    In general, I disallow any notification requests from other apps on my computer or phone, then manually set what I'm willing to tolerate. It does annoy me that's an all-or-nothing situation when an app requests to send you notifications, there should be a 'let me choose' option or better still let me specify how I want notifications handled and use that.
