Can you imagine the outcry if we tried to introduce a license to procreate LOL. Unfortunately it is often the least intelligent or uneducated who find themselves with unplanned pregnancies and then become parents.

I'm much the same but with construction tools - it seems each new power tool I buy has an increasing chance of removing parts of my body if not carefully handled - maybe it is some sort of natural selection process...

Terrifying. It's women should stay at home, have babies, cook and clean for their husbands, and not have jobs. Scary. Probably put a tax if you get vaccinated to discourage that too.

i've realised how people sometimes accessorise their children, or show them off to cause some other people pain.

There are so many people who are parents, but they shouldn't be actually. They abuse and neglect their own children.  And yet someone got an idea to punish people for not having children. It's interesting,  that in some people's minds having children is only a woman thing. Well, we can't impregnate ourselves out of nowhere, there must be a man involved. Best, if the man is involved not only in making the baby, but also in life. To not sound anti-men I want to emphasise,  that there are many good loving and supportive fathers and partners. 

The problem with people not having / not wanting babies is highly complicated and very complex. The core issues are lack of stability,  poor financial situation,  pressure for constant education and development,  which often erases the plans of having babies. There are also various health issues, also mental health issues,  the infertility etc. And it's also hard to find a good partner (applies to both sexes) because our times are somehow crazy, many people tend to have unrealistic expectations from others, but not willing to put effort. Or treating others like objects.

Unfortunately I think you will find that the males who are bemoaning the immigrants and displaying intolerant nationalist tendencies are just as unattractive to most women.

Please note that I don't doubt there are some bad actors amongst the immigrants and ample government incompetence to go around. 

I'm not talking about myself here. But women need to look a bit harder, there are decent single British childless men everywhere.

As a 46 yr old childless male, this concerns me a lot. I have 3 sisters, none have their own children despite trying. There are people who come. overstay. or abuse the system (just to have children in the UK). Benefits should be capped. I also don't think young women are looking very hard for mates, or may they are just scared by all these horny immigrant men. My observation is that generally they are not very selective or obsessive to the degree where they end up with the wrong man.

It is insulting and incredibly hurtful. 

This is hate crime speech. Doubly scary when you see the quality of the people who are reproducing. 2+2 =0

For people who cannot reproduce or find a quality partner this is really insulting. 

They get more insane by the minute. They are also suggesting they will get rid of equality policies and protected characteristics so we'd basically lose all rights. How anyone can think that's ok is absolutely ridiculous. Why on earth should people be made to have children if they don't want to or punished because they are unable to?

I also don't really understand because people keep going on about overpopulation and not enough housing, jobs, doctors appointments etc. But now we're saying it's a crisis because less people are having children. Make it make sense!!!!

Hmm! That comment by Matt Goodwin was scary stuff. 

It would effectively be a ‘negative child benefit tax' targeting childless adults.

He advocated for the removal of income tax for women who have two or more children. That tells me he believes the value of women is measured by the number of children they are able to have. It’s no wonder that they attract some misogynistic voters. I’m glad he didn’t win the by-election.

I like many of the Green Party’s policies but they aren’t realistic in some of their proposals and much as I support human rights and in the past have highlighted many abuses, I don’t agree with some of their more recent foolish and divisive actions in their election campaign.
