Counsellors don’t call

This is a rant because I don’t know where to go with my emotions right now. I have been trying to find a counsellor to help me explore my autism as I struggle with massive imposter syndrome. I found two therapists through a national official registry who were accredited and sounded good, who were responsive via email arranging initials calls etc But in both cases (the last one just happened today!) they just didn’t call at the arranged time! What’s going on? First time I was annoyed but eventually thought ok perhaps something got in the way (though even after checking in twice, I got no reply, completely ghosted), but now it’s the second time this happened. How is this possible? I feel very ridiculous right now

  • I haven't had problems being contacted by 4 different people, so this sounds a bit strange.

    Have you tried calling your phone, just to make sure it is not on silent mode and there is no call forwarding in place?

    Are you certain you gave them the right number?

    If they call and get no answer they might think you are a time waster and ignore your messages.

    They may be a simple explanation.
