PIP Application Denied -big old rant

ive just had my pip application declined after having it for 6 years. I have had it denied before and appealed it then but I live alone now and have some achievements since then. and they seem to have just focused on those achievements not how long it took for me to get them and the impact of trying to get them. They seem to have brushed over every struggle I gave and pin it to my 3 achievements as to why I can’t be allowed pip. On my report it says “I have changed your descriptors perviously chosen based on medical evidence” sorry I don’t call an ambulance everytime I have a meltdown? sorry every time Im in a panic I’m not calling the police? I used to be on medication. I stopped taking it because I was having fainting spells unsure what was causing them and blacked out once leading to me cutting my jaw open needing stitches and now left significant scarring. But because I “function” (who cares about at what expense) I’m fine… should I appeal it? I feel incredibly ignored and just swept under the carpet. But if they are just going to decide that because I have job, have my license and am studying AAt is it worth it?

    I would appeal like you've done before and you won.  I think its a game of attrition they play - award 0 points and see how many just don;t bother taking it to mandatory reconsideration (MR) and appeal

    I got 0 points recently for my first PIP application - mostly because their decision is based on me working, driving not on any medication or under CMHT, and I sounded OK (not anxious) on the telephone and could answer questions about myself - but ignored what I said or provided with the application.  So I've just this week sent off for MR and not expecting them to change so will go to appeal.

    Its definitely worth it - please don't accept their decision - it sounds that your case is strong given you've previously had PIP and from what you say, DWP is exaggerating the impact of your recent achievements, more than the difference they make to you, so their logic which their decision is based on, is wrong
