Any good places online to make friends?

Just wondering about other places online that are good to make some friends. Not sociable offline in person but some friends to keep in touch with. Any suggestions that aren’t apps and don’t require going out to social places?

  • I'm no good at making friends, but I think if you find websites and join groups of things you are interested in, it gives you something to talk about to others with. I'm sure there are lots of very obscure sites on the internet these days too suit everyone!

    I think if you find a reputable site connected to a hobby you are interested in, they might have things like a discord channel to chat on?
