Career's advice

Hello everyone,

I have tried using this forum before but find it quite confusing and complicated to use so forgive me if I am doing it wrong.

I have recently turned 34, am female, a graduate in English Literature and have never started a career and do not know where to begin.

What I think I really need is proper career's advice from someone qualified in assisting neurodiverse people. I have trawled through the directory on here, but can't narrow the search to anyone specialising in careers. I have found a few people and websites online but they all cost a fortune.

I am really quite desperate as I am miserable in my current job, there is no future in it and it pays peanuts. I feel I am too old now to pursue something as I would as a fresh graduate. I have lost any skills that I may have previously had after years of unemployment followed by being stagnant in this current role that requires no qualifications at all.

I think I require counselling for many other things as well, particularly around my diagnosis, but need to prioritise finding an appropriate job first. I feel there was zero support following my diagnosis and any help out there seems to be for children, parents of children, or non high functioning adults. It feels as though there is no help or support for people like me and I am going to be stuck and miserable forever. Obviously, I hope that this is not the case, but that is how it feels at the moment.

I really hope someone can help point me in the right direction. Thank you so much!
