We don't need new year resolutions - we need rest.

'So, perhaps January is not the time for reinvention, but radical rest. Winter is a time to follow nature, to create our own version of hibernation, listen to our bodies, and prepare slowly and quietly for the year to come. Slowing down is good for you, and can improve your productivity in the long run.'

  • Hi there - I so agree with you. I've been having a retreat from everything during the past week - walking my dogs, reading, doing a few jobs here and there (note, I haven't had to go out to work during this retreat which makes it easier!). It has felt so therapeutic and closer to the rhythms of the natural world (waxing lyrical now). By contrast, out there in the 'real world', my daughter messaged me to say Tesco are stocking up their shelves with Easter eggs! Give us a break will you! I hope they melt! Joy
