We don't need new year resolutions - we need rest.

'So, perhaps January is not the time for reinvention, but radical rest. Winter is a time to follow nature, to create our own version of hibernation, listen to our bodies, and prepare slowly and quietly for the year to come. Slowing down is good for you, and can improve your productivity in the long run.'

  • I have never understood the point of making New Year Resolutions. During my time on earth, I don't think I have known of anyone who has successfully managed not to break their self-imposed resolutions.

When one considers the often unnecessary pressure we autists place on ourselves, it strikes me as daft to willingly heap even more pressure on ourselves by making New Year Resolutions. Therefore, I am very much in agreement with the sentiment expressed in your post.
