TV ads

Hi there, apologies if I've posted this on the wrong page! Has anyone experienced any distressing behaviour due to all or part of a TV ad? My 5yr old boy becomes hysterical as soon as the First Direct ad starts. We're unable to establish what part of the ad affects him so but after tonight's episode I've tweeted First Direct, just so I could feel like I was doing something I guess!

As I say, apologies if I've posted this I the wrong page but if anyone else has experienced this I'd appreciate the info x

  • Two questions:

a, can the child watch their shows on netflix to avoid the issue

b, is it the platapus ad? or some other ad featureing realistic footage of animals behaving in improbable ways. This might cause distress as it looks real but contrdicts what the child knows about the world and therefor questions every certanty in his life
