TV ads

Hi there, apologies if I've posted this on the wrong page! Has anyone experienced any distressing behaviour due to all or part of a TV ad? My 5yr old boy becomes hysterical as soon as the First Direct ad starts. We're unable to establish what part of the ad affects him so but after tonight's episode I've tweeted First Direct, just so I could feel like I was doing something I guess!

As I say, apologies if I've posted this I the wrong page but if anyone else has experienced this I'd appreciate the info x

  • Modern advertising is scary. Loaded with subliminal suggestion. Best practice is to turn telly to a advert free channel when they come on, then switch back after a few mins...

I personally go to great lengths to avoid the BN (McVitties) brand adverts featureing various "cute" animals with horrendously dilated pupils...they seriously freak me out
