  • Hello.

I think you can split things onto 2:

    1. Things you always find hard.
    2. Things you sometimes find hard.

The things you sometimes find hard are quite instructive. As you get more overloaded and/or closer to burnout, if you are chronically stressed, does things get harder to do. Your capacity goes down. This is a sign you are pushing too hard and need to back off.

Things you always find hard you just need to find workarounds, alternatives, stop doing them, outsource them, etc.

The biggest things are to not feel guilty for leaving things and relaxing a bit. Closing your eyes, and lying down if practical, really helps. Breathing exercises too, deep inhales and slow breaths out. Try to be sleep properly and have a routine.

Pay attention to your body. You may have learnt to ignore when you are stressed because it always felt like that. But push you your shoulders down and try to relax, breathe from you diaphragm, not just your chest, note when you get the knot behind you sternum or in your rob cage, when your hands are sweaty, when your heart beats harder or faster (you may feel it in your throat). These give you clues about what is causing you stress. You can then see about how to reduce or manage it.

It takes time to learn and adapt. But the little things add up.

Do you have any things in particular?
