My name is Tom, and I am a third-year trainee clinical psychologist at the University of Liverpool. I am recruiting participants for my research project, which explores the experiences and care and support needs of adults waiting for an autism diagnostic assessment through NHS services. This research is supervised by Dr Melissa Chapple at the University of Liverpool.
-
Eligibility criteria:
- You have been referred for an adult autism diagnostic assessment since 2021 and were on the waiting list for more than 13 weeks before being seen by an NHS team for the assessment ( Please note: we are currently at capacity for these participants. Whilst you may may be offered a screening interview there is no guarantee you will be offered a full interview)
- Alternatively, you have been referred since 2021 and were on the waiting list for more than 13 weeks before choosing to seek a private assessment.
-
In both instances, you should have completed your assessment, but the outcome does not matter.
-
Participants who are fully interviewed will be reimburse with a £20 shopping voucher.
-
*Please note we are particularly keen to interview those who identify as male and those from minoritised communities*
