Does anyone else Love school holidays?

As an adult I'm completely indifferent to them (except when I worked in a school when it meant I didn't get paid).

But as a child/teenager I quite liked them as it was a nice break from school and i got to concentrate on other interests for a bit.

As an adult living in a rural, seaside area I dread them, screaming kids everywhere, rude parents and people with a massive sense of entitlement treating us locals as though we're beneath them and their 500k+ holiday homes and expensive cars. This week we've gone back to a traffice jam being about 6 cars, over the upcoming half term it will go back up to being dozens again.

When I was a child though I love school holidays as I hated school with a passion. I wasn't that keen on my kids being off school because they were always bored and I didn't have the money to take them to the sorts of places their friends went.
