Question about who did your assessment as an adult

Hi,

I'm currently about to do an initial assessment as an older adult. If you have done one, how many people were involved - were you assessed by a single person from start to finish, or more than one? I noticed the assessment place mentioned a 'multi-disciplinary team' but in practice that is two people: one for initial, everything else by a second person. Is that normal for adult assessments?

Thank you!

  • I just had one psychologist who did the lot, but whilst I think he was good, there was much less understanding of ASC and ASC in women in particular. Once I was diagnosed I didn't have any assessements fr additional needs or anything, I was just left to get on with it, the thought being that I'd managed for 50 years and could keep on managing.
