Recently diagnosed - looking for psychatrist who could prescribe medication

 I am 50 and recently diagenosed ADHD /ASD 

I have my assessment done privately but it does not include precription

I am looking for Psychiatrist who can prescirbe medication as my GP only continue the treatment ONCE initiated by a psychiatrist 

Please advice / sign post if you have any information

    It might be cheaper and easier to change your GP, is there no ohter GP in the practice you can see? I think your current GP is ducking the issues and trying to fob you off.

    I have been on antidepressant for 17 years- that medication certainly did not work during my menopause when my ASD/ ADHD got worse - I need a psychiatrist to change my medication as my GP is not willing to change my tablets - GP is willing for shared care but not happy to initiate the treatment ( Sertraline or similar )  

    I have had private ASD/ ADHD assessment and paid a lot - a private psychiatrist is gonna charge more - can’t afford anymore :-(
