Is listening to the same songs again and again, more common in autistic people?

Probably all people do this, but I just wonder whether there is some known difference, and how it is for you.

Do you think you listen to the same songs more times than other people?

  • Hi

Yeah I totally get this especially when I find a song I like. I have a favorites playlist on Spotify and sometimes I click the enhance button to get new songs without losing the feel of the music I love, but I've found my mood has to be a certain way for this.

I have discovered lost of artists I have never heard of before this way e.g Jesse Marchant, Andrew Combs, Frazey Ford.

I also get certain lines from songs stuck in my head that resonate somehow and say exactly how I'm feeling.

    Foals/Spanish Sahara.

The choir of furies in your head/I'm the ghost in the back of your head.

    Andrew Combs./Feather

Nothing puts my mind more at ease than watching the wind bend through the tops of the trees.

These little fragments stay with me and feel almost comforting.

Anyone else get this where a certain line keeps looping.
