Does putting transcripts through AI aid learning?

I had a text based interaction with someone which went a bit strangely. I decided to ask AI, Gemini and Copilot, what they thought for another perspective.

I asked if it could analyse a conversation and then put the whole lot in unedited. I gave it no directions.

I think it can be a useful tool to aid learning. It can highlight points where misunderstanding happened. I'd not use it to apportion blame, just to see where errors occur.

It highlighted the issue of online text communication going wrong, where you miss social cues and context. Words can be misunderstood, through bias, accident or intention. AI could do the same but it should give the most likely normal interpretation. A transcript of a face to face interaction put through ai may be less reliable though as it misses some data.

It was interesting and confirmed my thoughts, it was not me in this case. My instincts were correct. Since ASD has communication issues I am trying to see where my issues lie. I can't control other people. A more significant interaction earlier in the day had also gone fine.

  • It is sometimes difficult to find credible websites easily

If you look at any kind of social media, even YouTube etc where people are free to post their rambings then it adds to the volume of supporting "evidence" for AI to draw on.

Also seeing how vocal many misinformation spreaders are, they are doing a disproportionate job of getting their version of the "truth" out there.

How does AI know to weigh this info and sift fact from opinion from lies?

  • Is AI getting a top notch education at AI universities or skipping class?

It is behind the bike sheds having a ciggie and gossiping with Elon about what is in the Epstein Files...

  • I expect AI corrects itself if people contradict it. Algorithms do the sifting.

Having said that, not everything will be corrected.

One man’s fact is another man’s lie so that’s a good point. AI may be growing a longer nose than it’s aware of, who’s in charge to make sure it’s learning the correct and factual information?. That’s the responsibility of its creators….or is it? Everyone who uses the internet changes the original information in some way, they add, edit, delete, cut, copy, paste. They will leave a trace and a personal mark on it whatever that may be and that’s the mark the AI will learn from. Is AI getting a top notch education at AI universities or skipping class?
