Mornings

Does anyone else struggle with mornings ? Feeling down or disconnected

  • As James Thurber put it, ‘Early to rise, early to bed makes a man healthy, and wealthy, and dead.’ Having said that, mornings are the best time of day for me. I start yawning after lunch and, if possible, drag myself to bed soon after 9p.m.

  • I think we've all been indoctrinated to believe there's something holy about mornings, usually by people who like getting up early and don'tlike others being in bed when they're awake, I think this is a form fascism. I don't think us night owls keep larks awake, I think larks have FOMO. As long as you function and do the things you need to do as well as want to do, why does it matter what time of day you do it? Personally I find the night quieter and calmer the energy is much more chilled and I find it easier to concentrate and do some of my best thinking between the hours of 11pm and 1am. If you got up at 7am and went to bed at 11pm would you actually have any more time in waking hours to do things?
