PIP Assessment today

I've got to go for a PIP assessment later today. Please wish me luck :).

I've never claimed PIP before but I've had ESA assessments in the past so I know how bad they are. In this case they wanted me to do a "video appointment" which I didn't have the facility for. Several letters later, they accepted that I couldn't do one... so they arranged another video appointment. This time, they managed to arrange a normal one.

  • Well, it only took a few months but I finally got a decision today. Completely refused. Zero points for mobility, but amazingly, I got 4 points for Daily Living.

    Clearly the fact that I can't sit in a miserable room for days on end and can't stand being stuck in a house with relatives is enough to prove that I can do the same journey into town for some lunch and peace and quiet several times a week.

    I've never done a PIP appeal before (done plenty of ESA ones), so I will probably try and contact the local CAB to see if they can help.
