Radio programmes, or podcasts, to which you have enjoyed listening recently?

Any radio programmes, or podcasts, to which you have enjoyed listening recently?

Here is one which I enjoyed:

"28 minutes - Inside Science - BBC Radio 4:
Is everything we know about the universe wrong?
For the last week or so, the world of physics has had just one conversation.
Have we found a new way of understanding the universe? And if so, what does this mean for our understanding of how we all came to exist – and even our fate?
These big questions were prompted by new data from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument team at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona. To explain what was found, whether it’s right and just how excited we should be, we’re joined by astrophysics professor Catherine Heymans and cosmologist Andrew Pontzen.
Also this week, what became of the Winchcombe meteorite? We attempt to explain some seriously advanced maths in less than two minutes, and Penny Sarchet from the New Scientist brings us her picks of the week’s science news."
(Recently, I have been making more use of radio programmes and podcasts ...while the news broadcasts are so heavily dominated by a limited subset of stories).

  • I do creative writing every day and have been enjoying listening to Sunshine Radio in the mornings. I wrote to one of the presenters, Mark Edwards, and he wrote back personally and thanked me for taking time to write to him. He said he dedicated a song to me and he hoped I was listening at the time, which I was. Small little acts of kindness brighten life so much.
