3 Good Things (again)

As it can take a looong time for faults to be remedied, I thought this could fill in for now?

1.  My Vabysmo eye injection this afternoon at the hospital.

2.  I wore my 'hidden disabilities' thingy around my neck.

3.  Home and having a curry tonight Blush

  • 1. Having a day to take it easy.

    2. Stretch in the evening, and temperatures above 10 Celsius.

    3. Living without Fear.

  • I never paid attention to him, until 2020 with his cancer diagnosis; however, he was a Wise Sage.

  • Mister Choc Caramel Bars apparently

    1. Halfway through cleaning the attic
    2. Opening the patio doors, almost warm if a bit noisy
    3. Finishing off the roast beef from yesterday for tea
  • No, just both looking at the same website!

  • I think Lidl do their fake version that tastes more or less the same....

  • just seen a fun size bag of 14 little mars bars on the Tesco website
    14 for £4.70 at Tesco.

I reckon you two are in the same room.

    Thinking

  • OMG, just seen a fun size bag of 14 little mars bars on the Tesco website and it costs £4.70! They can keep them.  I agree they were better in the 1970s.

  • Yes.  14 for £4.70 at Tesco.   33p per funsize.    Unbelievable really

  • If they get any smaller they'll be like the fun size ones you used to get in a big bag (can you still get those?...)

    I agree.

    I don't know but I don't want them now.

I want to go back to the 1970s where sweets are concerned.

    Slight frown

  • They're too small for sharing now! If they get any smaller they'll be like the fun size ones you used to get in a big bag (can you still get those?...)

  • The caramel used to be harder as I remember them. The inside is more like I remember milky ways to be

I was going to mention them being like Milky Ways.

I'd sometimes cut a Mars bar in half to share (I'd never do that now!) and it was quite solid.

Oh for the Good Old Days of unhealthy sweets.

  • Mars removed hydrogenated vegetable fat, also known as trans fat, from its bars. This was due to its links to heart disease and high cholesterol

    Thanks.

    It may well be.

In fact since I last ate one, there's probably tons of tasty 'unhealthy' ingredients removed.

  • Yeah, they are definitely more "squishy"! The caramel used to be harder as I remember them. The inside is more like I remember milky ways to be, and the layer of chocolate on the outside seems thinner.  And of course the bars are smaller.

  • In 2003, Mars removed hydrogenated vegetable fat, also known as trans fat, from its bars. This was due to its links to heart disease and high cholesterol

    Maybe that's it.

  • Rediscovering Mars bars - they seem different to when I was young, but still good.

You made me eat one today!

    First time in years.

    I remembered your words.

It seems more sickly than it did when I was young, and more squishy.
